A list of all the celebrity cameos in ‘Zoolander 2

“Zoolander 2: Attach of the Cameos” has the most celebrity cameos I have ever seen in a movie. How naive I was when I thought I could remember them all without writing them down. Within five minutes, I was already at my memory’s capacity and frantically rifled through my bag to find a pen and paper.

I think (and hope) Stiller included SO MANY CELEBRITIES to make a joke about the way sequels do usually have a cameo overload. There had to be a reason for it, especially with all of the jokes about nostalgia, an obvious reference to the fact there has been such a public outcry for “Zoolander 2.” But maybe I am reading too much into it. The insane amount of cameos stopped being fun the longer the list grew and quickly devolved into actors appearing on-screening for 2 seconds just so the audience would say “Is that Susan Sarandon?”

Don’t get me wrong, I laughed at times (especially whenever Kristen Wiig was on screen). However, the movie had its fair share of stale jokes and callbacks from the previous movie that should have been left alone. Not to mention, there was so much going on and so many celebrities to count, I lost track of the plot pretty early on… something about the Fountain of Youth and a “Chosen One”?

I wouldn’t make a huge effort to see “Zoolander 2” in theaters, unless you want to help me add to the list of cameos. However, it may be worth it to watch the movie eventually, when it is inevitably streaming for free on Netflix, just so you can see Wiig glide through and steal every scene. I hope you enjoy this attempt at listing all of the celebrities in “Zoolander 2” (not including Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Will Ferrell):

• Benedict Cumberbatch and Kyle Mooney;

• Justin Bieber;

• Kristen Wiig;

• Milla Jovovich;

• PewDiePie;

• Kiefer Sutherland, a member of Hansel’s gang;

• Fred Armisen, with a shockingly small body a la Steve Rogers pre-Captain America;

• Billy Zane reprises his role from the first film;

• Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Usher…ish. There is a quick shot of them also taking Blue Steel selfies before they are assassinated;

• Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, Jane Pauley, Natalie Morales, Don Lemon, Christiane Amanpour, and Dan Abrams… all do newscasts at various times during the film;

• Susan Boyle — the paparazzi care a lot more about her than Derek and Hansel;

• Olivia Munn;

• Kate Hudson & Toni Collette… a blink and you miss it shot of the two friends on the front row of the catwalk;

• Skrille;

• Naomi Campbell stars in an… interesting… advertisement with Derek;

• Justin Theroux reprises his role from the first film;

• Christina Hendricks;

• Ariana Grande;

• Susan Sarandon;

• Willie Nelson;

• Katy Perry;

• Neil Degrasse Tyson;

• Sting;

• Alexander Skarsgard — even though he died in the first film, he returns to Derek in a vision of Adam and Eve (as Adam);

• Karlie Kloss (as Eve);

• Kate Moss;

• MC Hammer;

• John Malkovich;

• Anna Wintour;

• Alexander Wang;

• Tommy Hilfiger;

• Marc Jacobs; and

• Valentino

*Apparently Kanye West is in the movie, but I didn’t see him.
