FRANKLIN — Miriam Frances Taylor passed away on Feb. 1, 2016, in Courtland Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Como, North Carolina, to William Thomas Taylor Jr. and Cora Newsome Taylor.

Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Nancy Taylor Lane, Kenneth Newsome Taylor, Anne Taylor Brown, Marjorie Taylor Way, Carol Taylor Jewell, Lynne Taylor Fleischman, John Gardner Taylor and Robert Lee Taylor; a sister-in-law and 15 nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, in Buckhorn Baptist Church in Como with the Rev. Jay Brabben and the Rev. Sean Gallagher officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Miriam’s memory to Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Buckhorn Baptist Church Vacation Bible School Program or the American Cancer Society.
