FRANKLIN — Lydia Porter Griggs, 97, passed away on Jan. 30, 2016.

She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty G. Moore of Newport News; a son, John W. Griggs Jr. of Courtland; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Feb. 2, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Donica officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
