FRANKLIN — R. Carin Schmidt, 67, died on Wednesday Jan. 13, 2016, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Virginia Beach, and had retired from a local restaurant.

She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Williams of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Patricia Goad of Brentwood, Maryland; and two grandchildren.

The memorial service was on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the House of David, Virginia Beach, with Pastor Lester Doss officiating. Burial will on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Southview Cemetery, Franklin.

Services were entrusted to Divine Family Mortuary, 22736 Main St., Courtland, Virginia.
