FRANKLIN
The Lady Indians defeated the Lady Broncos, 47-25, on Wednesday night in a home game.

“Overall for the ball game last night, it was one of the most complete games we have played the whole year,” Southampton head coach Littleton Parker said. “I thought it was a well played game. Everyone played their part.”

Leading scorers for the game included Tayana Rogers with 10 points, Bryona Knight with 12 points and Jordan Lee with 18 points.

“We played team ball last night, and we played real good defense,” Parker added.

Going into the game, the Indians knew they needed to and wanted to win this game as it was a home game against their rival.

However, they didn’t prepare for the game any differently than they did for the other games.

“We work hard every day. We take it one game at a time,” Parker said.

The Southampton girls basketball team will play their next game tonight, Jan. 15, at home against Windsor.

Franklin, meanwhile, will travel to Sussex Central.
