Sherman Hite

SEDLEY — Sherman Hite, 71, passed away on Jan. 6, 2016.

He was born in Delbarton, West Virginia, the son of the late James G. Hite and Roxie H. Hite.

He retired from the City of Suffolk after 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Sherman is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosalee Hill (Gene) of Red Jacket, West Virginia; Ida Williams (Edward) of Sedley, Virginia; and Linda Vance (Jimmy) of Justice, West Virginia; brothers, Donald Hite of South Hill, Virginia; Earl Hite of Varney, West Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; special friends, Margarita Warren and Ronnie Chittum.

Sherman is predeceased by his brother, Homer Hite of Varney.

The graveside service was on Friday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Newcomb officiating.

Friends joined the family for a visitation on Thursday from 7-8 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, Suffolk.
