The well-known traveling online book fair, Books are Fun!, was at Southampton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday selling many Christmas gifts to employees, patients and community members who stopped by. The company not only sells books at their book fairs, but a variety of items.

“We’ve had excellent sales here today,” the company’s representative Michael Crawford said. “People have been buying a wide variety of Christmas presents from us. Christmas is when we make our hay.”

Some of the items besides books that the company sells are toys, household decorations, Christmas decorations, scarves, purses, etc.

However, this is the company’s last year selling books and they will soon be changing their name.

“Books are only 38 percent of ours sales,” Crawford added. “We just don’t sell books like we use too.”

They are hoping by having no books and even more of a variety of products next year, they will make even more of a profit.
