FRANKLIN
Angels were present throughout the Franklin Christmas Parade on Friday night. In keeping with the theme, “The City of Angels,” many participants incorporated angel wings into their floats and costumes.

Teresa Rose-McQuay and Leesa Livesay, co-chairs of the parade Committee, were very pleased with how the parade turned out.

“I think the parade was wonderful. The participants put a lot of thought and time into their entries this year,” Rose-McQuay said.

She also thought everyone did an outstanding job.

“We wanted to remind the community that we are fortunate to have angels among us every day. With the Christmas season upon us, it is wonderful to remember that we have all been blessed with angels among us,” the co-chairs said. “Thank you to all who made the parade so beautiful and made it a success. We hope to build from this year’s success for our future parades.”

Livesay and Rose-McQuay look forward to the parade every year.

“We love to bring job and togetherness to our community and see the smiles on the citizens’ faces,” they said.

In previous years there has been judging on the entries for the parade, but this year they decided not to.

“There was no judging this year and rightfully so because everyone who participated in the parade this year are winners,” Rose-McQuay and Livesay added. “Thank you all for your time and efforts to bring job to our community.
