FRANKLIN — John Robert “Johnny” Turner, 77, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at his home. He was a native of Nansemond County, and was a son of the late Howard Lee Turner and Lillie Johnson Turner.

He worked for Franklin Equipment Company for 21 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Travis Terrell Woodson of Suffolk; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Shirley Mae Turner, Virginia Carolyn Turner, Lillian Louise Turner and Mildred T. Pollak; and five brothers, Clifton Howard Turner, Willie Lee Turner, Ray M. Turner, Herman M. Turner and Howard L. Turner Jr.
