Cullen was a senior at Franklin High School and was a great kid who always had a smile on his face. He had been active in many school activities including the tennis team, boys soccer, cross country, the wrestling team, the robotics team and drama club.

He was a part-time employee at The Village at Woods Edge, and was just beginning to map out his future by joining the Navy this past summer; he was going to report for active duty this coming July after graduation.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Stacia and Geoffery Hall of Franklin; his father, Kevin Porter, and his wife, Stacy, of Hampstead, North Carolina; one sister, Morgan Hall, and one brother, Christopher Hall, both of the residence; two half-brothers, Trent Porter and Jace Porter of New Hampshire; two step-sisters, Ashlee Hunt and Emilee Hunt, and one stepbrother, Colby Hunt, all of North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Brenda Grace of New Hampshire; paternal grandparents, Lauren Grace of New Hampshire and Benjamin Porter of Vermont; and step-paternal grandparents, Rebecca and Robert McLaughlin of Virginia Beach.

Cullen was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Marjorie Grace and Ronald Grace.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dillon officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Cullen’s name to the Ruth Camp Campbell Memorial Branch of the Blackwater Regional Library, 280 N. College Drive, Franklin, VA 23851.

The family would like to thank Franklin High School, Franklin Rescue Squad and the people of Franklin for their help and support during this difficult time.
