“Small Business Saturday was a huge success for local retailers and restaurants throughout the Franklin Southampton community. We are appreciative of the partnership with Real Country 101.7 and The Tidewater News in promoting this event and raising awareness of the importance of shopping local. Throughout the remainder of the holiday season we hope that citizens will place a priority on shopping locally throughout Franklin Southampton. This conscious choice to shop locally can truly make a positive difference in our local economy,” Amanda Jarrett of FSEDI said.

Almost all businesses said that they were busy all throughout the day on Saturday.

Alphabet Soup said,“Saturday went fantastic. People were happy. FSEDI did a fantastic job promoting it.”
