FRANKLIN
Several hundred community members attended the 33rd Annual Franklin Fall Festival this past weekend. It was a success for not only many vendors and local businesses, but also for the many people who started Christmas shopping as well.

Attendees walked along the streets from vendor to vendor and business to business seeing what they had to offer and purchasing items. Children were also happy because of the many games that were setup for them to play.

Several of the local businesses were pleased that not only were they able to see familiar faces during the festival; they were also able to see new ones and make new customers.

Mackans Office Supply and Printing owners Mary Morris and Susan Jones said that after talking to all the other business owners and based on their own success, that it seemed like everybody had a good day.

“I think it was a wonderful turnout. We made some new customers and our regular customers were thrilled to see that we had brought back some of our older products,” Morris said.

Jones added, “It was nice to see the excitement that was in the air and it was nice to see that even younger people were coming in and shopping for a change.”

Carol Broadnax, owner of Jus CAB Cakes, was selling her products in the food tent Friday night. She felt that she was really successful.

“I received a lot of positive comments,” Broadnax said. “People said they were very pleased and that they will be coming to the shop more.”
