FRANKLIN
The St. Regis Property is going to be auctioned, according to a sign that was placed on the property recently.

The listed auctioneer is Atlantic Asset Management Group Inc., located at 1195 Lance Road, Norfolk, with William J. Summs Sr. listed as the person of contact. Summs’ number is 757-286-6460, and the website for the company is atlanticREmarketing.com.

The website also has details and photos of the property, and states the auction will be online and begin at midnight on Monday, Nov. 30, and will end at noon on Monday, Dec. 21.

Details of the property stated on the auction website include: “This is an online auction of a 16-acre lot with M1 Zoning in Franklin, Virginia. There is no building, but has a cement foundation ready to build on.”

Phone calls were made to Summs, the Atlantic Asset Management Group Inc. and David DiPaolo — the current owner of the property — for information regarding the property and the auction, but as of Tuesday afternoon, no calls had been returned.

Franklin City Manager Randy Martin said that the Bank of Hampton Roads had recently sent a check to the City paying off the taxes and any other outstanding liens that were attached to the property.

Martin also said that the City is proceeding with higher effort to have the property cleaned up, regardless of whom the owner is, and plans on placing an ad soon soliciting bids for the clean-up process.
