POWHATAN — Brian K. Gayle, 54, passed away on Sept. 23, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa K. Gayle; sons, Bradley D. Gayle of Henrico and Andrew B. Gayle of Powhatan; sisters, Debra Cale of Suffolk and Lisa Brown of Richmond; niece, Jamie Cale; great-nephews, Ryan and Wyatt; aunts, Susan Kitchen, Joyce Teele and Judy Hasty; uncle, Brad Hasty; mother-in-law, Rebecca Kitchen; family friends, Kitty and Ray Kramer, Tammy, Matt, Jacob and Seth Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Lois Gayle; and father-in-law, David Kitchen Jr.
A native of Franklin, he graduated from Franklin High School in 1979, and from Old Dominion University in 1985.
Brian was a member of Powhatan Community Church, where he was part of the technology team. He was actively involved with Special Olympics.
The memorial service will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Powhatan Community Church, 4480 Anderson Highway (Rt. 60), Powhatan.
