CARRSVILLE — George Franklin Bradshaw Sr., 72, passed away on Sept. 23, 2015, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Also nicknamed “Frankie,” “Hank” and “Early Times,” he was born in Franklin, and was retired from Electric Motor and Contracting in Courtland.

He was brought up in Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and was a lifetime member and former president of Carrsville Hunt Club.

He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Roma Worrell Bradshaw; a brother, R.L. Bradshaw; a sister, Carolyn Bradshaw; and a nephew, Melvin J. Dunlow Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Nanette B. Whitehurst (Mike), and one son, George F. Bradshaw Jr. (Linda), all of Courtland; two sisters, Linda B. Alaniz (Ben) of California, and Brenda June Blount of Carrsville; two brothers, Kenny Bradshaw (Shelby) of Florida, and Buck Bradshaw of Courtland, three grandchildren, Thomas Michael Whitehurst Jr., Brandice Nicole Fowler (Roma) and Jessica Rae Lindsey; and four great-grandchildren, Savannah Michelle Lewis, Makalya Rene Whitehurst, Hailey Lynn Fowler and Allie Marie Fowler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 27, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev Hoyle Green officiating.
