Man allegedly assaults, kidnaps mother of his children

Deputies from the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after the mother of his children claimed he had hit her, choked her and refused to let her leave their home. The victim also alleged that Brandon Williams, 34, of Leesburg, Virginia, broke her phone.

“The victim had minor injuries that were consistent with the report she made to deputies,” said Major Gene H. Drewery, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
The victim alleged that the offense occurred around 2 a.m. on Sept. 15, and she went to the sheriff’s office to report the offense around 10 p.m. on Sept. 16.
“The couple’s children were present when the offense occurred,” Drewery added.
Williams is being held at the Southampton County Jail for his arraignment on Thursday, Sept. 24.
