COMO, NC- Joanna Christie Gore, 76, passed away September 15, 2015.

Mrs. Gore along with her husband was the former owner and operator of the Family Mart, Inc. in Como.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Gore Nichols (Nick) of Como, and two sisters, Sophie Punsalan and Niki Snowden.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 PM Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Norfolk, VA with Father George Bessinas and Father Constantine Rogakos officiating.

The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Cynthia’s house at 321 Mill Neck Rd, Como, NC, Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
