COURTLAND – Catherine Lois Austin, 93, was a native of Southampton County, Virginia.  She retired from Southampton County public schools as a custodian.

Survivors include five daughters, three sons, a brother, and a sister.

A wake was held Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Boykins, Virginia, Rev. Dr. Lillie Faison Officiating. Burial will in church cemetery.
