FRANKLIN
Southampton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an accident early Sunday morning when a vehicle struck the front porch of a house in the 23000 block of Delaware Road.

“The two individuals were alleged to have not been wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, and both were flown to the hospital for treatment,” said Detective Camden Cobb, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

Cobb added that there was some damage to the­ residence, although the extent is unknown. The same can be said for whether anyone was in the house at the time of the crash.

The accident is still under investigation and the drive has not been charged at this time.
