FRANKLIN
Want your monogram on a piece of clothing? Have a company you want a logo made for? Looking for the perfect personalized gift for a friend? If so, Moore Designs and Embroidery in Downtown Franklin can help.

Owners Kevin and Jessica Moore have had this business for over three years now, but it has only been located in downtown Franklin for the past two and a half. The first year the two ran it from their home.

“The business has almost been overwhelming with all of the success we have had here, but I’m thankful for it,” said Kevin.

They receive about 20 to 30 orders for personalization a week and they also get a lot of commercial orders.

The Moores do all of the work themselves and they have one other employee who works for them.

“Everything is computer-based,” said Jessica.

The design is put onto a computer, which tells the sewing machine what design to make on the products.

“We just bought a screen printer about a month ago and now we are doing screen printing in house instead of sending it out,” Kevin said.

The business can also create designs for customers as well.

Their most popular item is the quarter-pullover sweatshirt. They both said that this item is a fall favorite.

Some of the products available for personalization are T-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, bags, long sleeve shirts, baby clothes, lunch boxes, hats, visors, tumblers, plates, pillows, koozies, wine glasses, stickers and more.

They created a website — www.mooredesigns.storenvy.com — recently where customers can place orders on there and then pick them up in the store.

The turnaround for items is about 14 business days. Rush fees are added to the price of the product if the customer needs the item in less than seven business days.

“Christmas is always our busiest times and orders tend to take longer,” said Kevin.

The store will have extended Christmas hours starting in October, but the exact hours haven’t been finalized yet. Both Kevin and Jessica said that customers should start thinking about their Christmas orders in the near future.

Moore Designs and Embroidery is located at 111 N. Main St. and the regular hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to visiting the website, you may call 304-5295.
