Arrest made on a four-year-old case

A Franklin man was extradited from State Correctional Institute Mahoney in Frackville, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 18, for a warranting arrest from 2011.
On Aug. 14 that year, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a victim notified police that as he was sitting in his girlfriend’s car and was approached by a black male who pulled a gun on him. The suspect made the victim take off his clothing and lie down. The suspect then removed cash from the victim’s clothing. A second suspect drove away in the victim’s girlfriend’s 1998 Ford sedan.
Investigation led to the authorities to James Eugene Rogers, 28, of 931 Pretlow St., and warrants for his arrest were secured
Rogers was arrested on charges of robbery, abduction, two counts grand larceny, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was incarcerated at SCI Mahanoy in Frackville for unrelated charges when Southampton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to extradite Rogers.
Sheriff’s Deputies transported him from Pennsylvania to Southampton County Jail where he was served multiple outstanding warrants and was then booked in the jail.
Rogers is still being held in Southampton County Jail.
