MADISON — Georgia Shelley Williams left her earthly home on Aug. 16, 2015, to dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

She was the youngest of four children born on Aug. 1, 1927, to James and Elizabeth Shelley. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Adrian Shelley; and her first husband, Joseph P. King Jr.

Georgia is survived by her loving family, husband, John Williams; children, Karen Daughtrey, Rick King, Becky Junco and Lizanne Johnson; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Muriel Evans and Iris Etheridge.

She was a very active woman teaching dancing and horseback riding lessons to many students over her 88 years.

The family requests that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society for the study of the prevention and treatment of melanoma.

The family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life.
