New Fair queen appointed

COURTLAND
Kirstyn Paige Andrew, 20, was named the Franklin-Southampton County Fair Queen at the conclusion of the annual pageant on Wednesday evening. Following the announcement of the judges’ decision, she was ceremoniously crowned by Calli Joyner, the 2014 queen.

Andrew is the daughter of Raquel Marie and James Chadwick Jones of Courtland.
Haley Bunch, 17, was named the runner-up. She is the daughter of Heidi Sadler of Courtland, and Glenn Bunch of Gatesville, North Carolina.
Prior to this pageant was the contest for Little Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair. The following girls were named the winners in their respective categories:
• Wee Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair is Chloe Snow, 4, Abbygale Blakley, 3, is the runner-up.
• Little Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair is Jade Dawson, 7, Paisley Benson, 6, is the runner-up.
• Junior Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair is Ava Raiford, 8. Briana Porter, 10, is the runner-up.
• Pre-Teen Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair is Chloe Bunn, 11, Savannah Buchanan, 12, is the runner up.
• Teen Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair is Claire Watson, 15, Haleigh Andrew, 15, is the runner-up.
