WINDSOR — Dorothy Batten Whitley, 84, passed away on Aug. 13, 2015, in Consulate Health Care of Windsor.

She was a native of Isle of Wight County, and was a daughter of the late Willie Sherman Batten and Georgie Mae Holland Batten, and was predeceased by a sister, Edith Whitley.

She was a 1949 graduate of Windsor High School and retired from Smithfield Packing.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Linda W. Drake and husband, Jerry, of Windsor; one sister, Ina Mae Holland of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Candy Marston (Stephen) and Lisa Drake; and two great-grandchildren, Madelynn Brooke Marston and Landon Thomas Marston.

Entombment was at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, had charge of arrangements.
