COURTLAND
Visitors to the county fair next Wednesday will be in the presence of royalty when the third annual Little Miss Franklin-Southampton County Fair Pageant takes place. The procession of contestants and the judging begins at 6 p.m. on the Main Stage. This will be followed by the Queen’s Pageant at 8 p.m.

The following are the pageant hopefuls:

• Wee category: Abbygale Blakley, 3, of Courtland; Caroline Priddy, 4, of Franklin; Kaley Raiford, 4, of Courtland; Alexys Blakley, 3, of Courtland; and Chloe Snow, 4, of Franklin;

• Little category: Paisley Benson, 6, of Franklin; Elena Raiford, 5, of Courtland; Michaela Blakley, 5, of Courtland; Jade Dawson, 7, of Courtland; Ameena Ali, 6, of Sedley; and Jenna Nurney, 6, of Capron;

• Junior Miss category: Avery Bowen, 10, of Ivor; Briana Porter, 10, of Ivor; Taylor Ann, 10, of Franklin; Ava Raiford, 8, of Courtland; Kara Hatfield, 9, of Franklin; Kirby O’Donnell, 9, of Courtland; Heaven Campbell, 9, of Branchville; and Elizabeth Nurney, 10, of Capron. Not present was Jorden Roberton, 8;

• Pre-Teen category: Madelyn Cosby, 12, of Franklin; Emily Duncan, 12, of Franklin; Josalyn Groenestyn, 12, of Courtland; Kalli Britt, 13, of Courtland; Chloe Bunn, 11, of Newsoms; Savannah Buchanan, 12, of Franklin; and Sydney Tardi, 12, of Zuni;
