FRANKLIN
Rebecca Chappell a 2015 graduate of Longwood University, has joined The Tidewater News as a staff writer. She will be covering the city of Franklin.

A native of Carrollton in Isle of Wight County, Chappell majored in English.

“Rebecca will make an exceptional addition to our team” said staff writer Andrew Lind. “Her small town knowledge and writing background will combine for excellent coverage of the city of Franklin.”

Chappell added that she’s looking forward to working with the city’s residents.

“I think I can gain a lot from The Tidewater News,” she said.

“I hope that in addition to advancing my writing skills, I will learn a lot about myself.”
