ADAMS GROVE
One person was killed early Monday morning in an accident near Adams Grove.

Fiesta Jean Boone, 55, of Franklin, was ejected from her sports utility vehicle after she ran off the road, overcorrected and overturned, according Virginia State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya. The accident occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m.

“Ms. Boone was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Anaya said in a statement. “Notification has been made to family members.”

Eastbound lanes were closed while debris was removed from the roadway, and were reopened at 4:46 a.m.
