CHESAPEAKE — Nancy C. Long Anderson, 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, in her home.

Born in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Coletta Long, and was also predeceased by her brother, Thomas A. Long Jr.

She was a devoted homemaker and member of Millfield Baptist Church, Ivor.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Joe D. Anderson; children, Michael Anderson (Sarah), Carol Jean Felts (Bob), Sharon Braziel and Karla Kinsey; siblings, James Alton Long and Yvonne Bryant; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, in Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake. Pastor Brooks Gale will officiate. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m., prior to the service in the funeral home.
