The public’s help is needed in finding the source of gunshots at the Dorchester Square Apartments on Sunday. Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police, said that officers went to the site on report of gunfire at 4:52 a.m.

“Upon their arrival the area was clear. Officers conducted foot patrols through the grounds and recovered five, 9-millimeter cartridge casings from the ā€œJā€ section of the complex. There were no reports of injuries or property damage,” he said, adding that the police couldn’t find anyone who could give information on who might have been shooting a gun.

But, anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Franklin Crime Solvers at 562-8599. Information that leads to an arrest could earn the caller a cash reward of up to $1,000, while remaining anonymous.
