On Wednesday, July 15, the Franklin Department of Parks and Recreation will host its first practice and final sign up for a youth kickball league for children ages 4-6 and 7-9.

The games will occur on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Armory Field Sports Complex softball field starting at 6 p.m. The second game will begin at approximately 7 p.m.

The league is free to all youth who participated in the 2015 Spring Baseball League. There is a $30 cost for all new registrations.

The department’s Brenon Artis said the goals of the league are: “To build a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for others and to assist in the rearing of the youth of our city.”
