Franklin High School hosts athletic awards for spring

FRANKLIN
Dave Lease, athletic director of Franklin High School, opened the 2015 spring sports awards program in the school auditorium on Monday June 8.

Teri Zurfluh, president of the Athletic Boosters, gave brief remarks to the many athletics and their parents that were present. Lease and assistant athletic director Mona Sumblin next recognized the seniors that are graduating this year and thanked them for the service to Franklin High School.

The program continued as the head coach for each spring sport called their team members to the stage and talked about the season and presented special awards to certain players. The program continued with the coaches presenting the MVP award to the top player of each sport. Both Lease and Sumblin presented the school’s top award of for the season, The Bronco and Bronkette Award, which is voted each year by all spring coaches. Khiry Reese and Brianna Karmilovich took home those awards.

The program ended with comments from Assistant Principal Allen Keels.
