FRANKLIN
Walter Francis Jr., a 2014 graduate of Southampton High School, has joined The Tidewater News as an intern. He will be assisting our staff writers as they cover the City of Franklin and Isle of Wight and Southampton counties.

A rising sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C., Francis is a public relations and history double major.

“We’re glad to have Walter with us, even if just for the summer,” said Tony Clark, publisher of The Tidewater News. “Walter is an incredibly bright and talented young man, and while we expect great things from him, we also hope to provide him with some valuable experience in the time he’s with us.”

Francis is a Capron native and the son of Allison and Walter Francis Sr.
