Lady Bronco’s Netters lose last match of season

Franklin High School Lady Bronco Qwaniesha Barnes pulled off the only win for the home team, as the Lady Broncos played their last tennis match of the regular season.

Barnes was able to win 9-7 using the eight game pro-set.

Playing at the tennis courts at Franklin High School on Wednesday, The Broncos lost the match 8-1 to the Lady Dragons of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School. Head Coach Calvin Sing recognized seniors Alexis Rodgers and Shadeejah Hunt before they played their last home match.

Hunt played her match close, but lost 8-6.Brianna Karmilovich did not play, and her sister, Erin, earned the start on the No. 1 court, but lost 8-5.

Coach Sing commented after the match that the Lady Broncos all played their best and that now they would start preparing for the final tournament, which will be played next week.
