Gladys Marie Casper

BOYKINS—Gladys Marie Johnson Casper, 76, passed away on May 18, 2015, at the East Pavilion in Franklin, Virginia.

Mrs Casper was a native of Southampton County, and was predeceased by her parents, Johnnie and Sally Elizabeth Baugham Johnson, and her husband of 49 years, Cedric Eugene Casper Sr. She was also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, William Lee “Buddy” Johnson, John Edward “Cheetah” Johnson and Clara Belle Turner and Nellie Mae Faison.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Janice Blowe (Ricky Vinson) and Tammy Casper, both of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; two sons, Cedric Casper Jr (Rita) of Murfreesboro and Steve Casper (Bonnie) of Branchville; three sisters, Barbara Turner of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Shirley Johnson of Murfreesboro and Betty Hoell of Williamston, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, Steven Wayne, Lundy, Jon, David, Beth, Tanya, Amanda, Josh, Kevin, Somer, Derek and Maria; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22, in Berean Baptist Church, Boykins, with Pastor James Young and Pastor Charles Alvis officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, and following the funeral at the Severn, North Carolina Community Center.
