Delegate’s thoughtfulness most appreciated

To the Editor:

A few weeks ago I had a memorial to my late husband, Clayton Louis Best, published in The Tidewater News.

Several days later I received a personal letter from Delegate Richard “Rick” Morris, expressing his sympathy to me and my family for the loss of my husband. He also included a copy of the memorial.

I do not know Delegate Morris personally and have never met him. However, I hope I will have that opportunity one day.

I don’t know of any politician that takes the time to send a personal letter to a family who has lost a loved one.

It seems as though Del. Morris really cares about his constituents. He was not asking for votes, just expressing his sympathy.

To you Del. Richard “Rick” Morris for your thoughtfulness, I will never forget your act of kindness.

Best of luck to you and may God bless you.

Sincerely,

Bessie F. Best
