FRANKLIN – Melvin Lee Newsome, Sr, a great husband, father, and son departed this life on Friday April 24, 2015 at Norfolk General Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory a lovely wife, Jennie M. Newsome, a daughter, Aundera Newsome Harris, three sons; Tony Newsome, Melvin Newsome, and DeMarcus A. Newsome, a loving mother, Lillie Mae Newsome, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Apostolic Faith, Oak St., Franklin, Va. on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
