WINDSOR
Playing at home Monday afternoon at the Windsor High School tennis courts, the Lady Dukes allowed only one match win to Franklin High School in the second meeting of the two teams this season.

The Lady Broncos No. 1 player, Brianna Karmilovich, was the lone victor. She took a first set tie break win of 7-3 and easily won the second set with a score of 6-1. Hannah Seward, meanwhile, picked up the win against Karmilovich’s sister, Erin, 6-1, 6-1 on the second court.

The winning trend would continue, though the Karmilovich sisters put up a fight in doubles by playing Cali Barton and Seward tight. The Windosr duo ultimately prevailed 8-6.

The home team won out the rest of doubles play and picked up the 8-1 win over the Lady Broncos.

Windsor was fresh off of a 9-0 loss to Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School on Thursday.

The Broncos (0-11) next travel to Emporia to play the Greensville County High School Eagles on Monday. The Dukes (6-3) will play Greensville sooner, starting today at 4 p.m.
