Dr. Michael Flessner, extension weed science specialist at Virginia Tech, is conducting a survey related to weed management issues in Virginia, according to Austin Brown, the associate Extension agent in Southampton County.

“The survey is voluntary, but your insights are valuable and can enhance future extension efforts,” Brown said. “Also, survey responses are anonymous and kept confidential. To complete the survey, visit this link: https://virginiatech.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_a4PNrVtLtNSoBLf.”

“Virginia Cooperative Extension is seeking farmers, producers, crop advisers, and others associated with Virginia Agriculture to complete a 10 minute or less online survey regarding weed management in the Commonwealth,” Flessner said. “If you have previously completed this survey at regional meetings, thank you and please disregard this solicitation.

“This survey is intended to gather data regarding weed management issues in Virginia and to gather data on how to best focus Extension efforts…By completing this survey, you indicate that you are not a minor and consent to participation. Potential risks of participation include approximately 10 minutes or less of your time, and potential benefits of participation include better and more focused extension efforts in the future…Your time and participation are greatly appreciated.”
