In a joint marketing effort with Isle of Wight County Economic Development, Franklin-Southampton Economic Development Inc. co-hosted the 2015 Franklin-Southampton-Isle of Wight Site Tour last Thursday.

The tour began in Isle of Wight County and traveled into both the City of Franklin and Southampton County to visit available industrial sites, including the Franklin Municipal Airport, Pretlow Industrial Park, Southampton Business Park and the Southampton Commerce and Logistics Center.

The site tour was well attended by industrial broker representatives from CBRE, Colliers International, Pembroke Realty, S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. and Thalhimer, Cushman, Wakefield. Staff from Virginia’s Economic Development Partnership and Hampton Roads’ Economic Development Alliance also were in attendance.

The site tour was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the great sites and buildings our area has to offer. Due to its success, both localities are planning to host the industrial site tour biannually to capitalize on this marketing effort.
