JOYNERS BRIDGE ROAD
As of mid-Friday afternoon, members of a 12-person dive team from Norfolk Police had reportedly not found any evidence in the search for Anjelica “AJ” Hadsell. She’s a young woman from the Tarrallton community of Norfolk, who has reportedly been missing since March 3. From a tip received on Thursday, the investigation led police and the divers to Joyners Bridge Road and Route 258 in Isle of Wight County.

A ground search was done Thursday evening, and the dive team began looking back and forth in a retention pond close by since 8 a.m. on Friday, according to Officer Daniel Hudson, department spokesman.

“We are exhausting all resources,” he said.

Asked if foul play was suspected, Hudson added, “We’re not willing to rule out any possibilities, and we’re investigating all possibilities.”

Steven Hines, who lives across from the pond, said the only thing he knew was that evidence had been found in this neighborhood. Police had been showing a picture of a van with the words “Quality Plumbing,” which had been spotted in the neighborhood. Hines remembered seeing that vehicle about one and one-half to two weeks ago. He saw it go up the road, pull into a nearby driveway, pull out and drive away.
