FRANKLIN—Marilyn Victoria “Vickie” Jenkins Turner, 64, passed away on March 11, 2015.

She was predeceased by her parents Melvin W. Jenkins and Juanita T. Jenkins.

Mrs. Turner was a graduate from Page County High School and a 1972 graduate of Radford College. She taught P.E. in Southampton and Isle of Wight counties for 33 years.

She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, and was involved with Special Olympics.

She is survived by her husband Ronald “Butch” Turner; her daughters, Kimberly Turner Burgess (Michael); Kandace Turner; step-daughter, Stephanie A. Edwards (Robert); and grandchildren, Ethan Phelps and Hunter Edwards. She is also survived by siblings Bonnie Sullivan (Jimmy); Norene Edgar (Ross); Mona Behm; Cathy Judy (Ray); Ruth Lee Jenkins; Steve Jenkins (Roberta); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, from 6:30-8 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and the funeral services there on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.
