FRANKLIN
Downtown Franklin’s Divas and Dudes had a fantastic beginning to the year 2015, with the first Ladies’ Night Out event in February. Downtown businesses were open from 6 to 8 on Feb. 12, and there was much activity going on in all of the stores.

Each business provided various sales along with refreshments and door prizes. There were samples of Jane’s Sweet Potato Biscuits, and Take A Photo With Your Favorite Pet at Mackan’s Office Supply and Printing. Over at The Cat’s Meow, someone was there with children’s books. Mr. D’s and Fred’s Restaurant had seafood dinners for two on that night. Smith Jewelers had a diamond set on special. Moore’s Emergency Solutions had discounts on embroidery. Alphabet Soup and the Resale Boutique were giving 50 percent off on certain items, and let’s not forget Jus’ C.A.B. Kakes. Her delicious homemade cupcakes were 20 percent off. This ladies’ night out was hopping and the downtown businesses have decided to keep the excitement going with continued events in the downtown historic area.

During the month of February, the Divas and Dudes also collected donations for police officer Albert Herdeg. who was injured last year while hanging lights on his home for Christmas. They collected and donated $500 to go toward his medical bills. We would like to take this time to thank each and every patron who donated towards this fund. We couldn’t have done it without your support.

The following schedule shows when Ladies’ Night will be occurring for the next several months. There are also many other events that will be going on in the Downtown Historic area with your local small businesses. Please come out and support your community.
