Kenita Bowers, spokeswoman for Isle of Wight County Schools, has announced that all IOW public schools will dismiss 90 minutes early today, March 6, in anticipation of inclement weather.

The YMCA and IOW Parks and Recreation will be at the elementary schools as scheduled until parents are able to pick up their children, she added.

“We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions to provide updates as they are received,” Bowers said. “Parents are encouraged to stay tuned to Connect 5, the division website and all local media outlets for the most updated information. As always, the safety of our students is a top priority.”
