Mildred B. Vann

MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Mildred Barrett Vann, 91, widow of Linwood Earl Vann, passed away on Feb. 18, 2015, at the East Pavilion in Franklin, Virginia.

Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh Barrett and Dorothy Barrett Robertson, and was also predeceased by her sister, Virginia S. Cook; a son, R. Brent Vann; and her grandson, J. Keith Vann.

Mrs. Vann was a retired dietician from Southampton Memorial Hospital, and was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Earl B. Vann and his wife, Renea; a daughter-in-law, Dianne M. Vann; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Vann Turnbull (Scott), Catherine Vann and Melanie V. Sadler; and three great-grandchildren, Ezekiel and Malachi Sadler and Barrett McIver.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Dr. Lee Canipe officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Murfressboro.
