FRANKLIN
As of mid-Tuesday morning, there have been no power failures reported that resulted from Monday’s snowfall, according to local sources.
“Zero outages,” is how chief operating officer Jonathan D. Thompson described the situation for members of Community Electric Cooperative, which is based in Windsor.
“The last actual outage was on Monday morning due to a transformer failure,” he said. “We are doing some follow-up on reports of leaning trees and branches that members have called in.”
Should CEC members experience power outages, they should report them at 242-6181.
Franklin City Manager Randy Martin also reported there was no interruption of power in the city.
In the event that power does go out at your home, contact Franklin Municipal Power and Light at 562-8568, or 562-8575 after 5 p.m.
Dominion Power customers in Franklin and the counties of Southampton and Isle of Wight have also fared well with no reported outages; however, there were 16 customers in Suffolk without power.
Dominion customers are to call 1-866-366-4357 to report power outages.
