FRANKLIN—Mrs. Rebie E. Gatling, 91, of Franklin, passed away on Feb. 13, 2015, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

She was predeceased by Ernest Gatling Sr., Edward K. Rose (second husband) and son, Ernest Gatling Jr.

Mrs. Rebie is survived by four daughters, Gloria Gatling, Yvette P Gatling, Mary E. Green and Yvonne K. Gatling (Morris L. Williams); two grandchildren, Tanya Davis of Hampton, and Kaamilah Dennis Armstrong of Franklin; and four great-grandchildren: Ashanti Staten, Beyonce Staten, both of Franklin, Julian Polinski, and Taylor Davis of Hampton.

In life she worked as a social worker for the State of New York, Planters, and Brown and Jordan of Suffolk, and was also employed at the Walmart of Franklin.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. in E. Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, North Carolina.
