FRANKLIN
The Downtown Franklin Association is pleased to announce the Second Annual Franklin Fat Friday, a Mardi Gras celebration, to take place in Fred’s Restaurant on Main Street, Franklin, on Feb. 20.

Get your costume and mask and join in the fun. We start at 7 p.m. with a dinner of New Orleans-style food and cash bar. Everyone receives a souvenir Hurricane Glass. During the evening, the King of Mardi Gras will ask for your help to find the stolen key to his Treasure Box. Clues will be provided by members of the King’s Court. Whoever finds the Treasure Box key will be handsomely rewarded with a $150 cash prize. The Queen will also award a prize for the best costume. Costumes are not required, but sequins, glitter, feathers and masks are what Mardi Gras is all about. Dress for the King’s Court or as you please.

This is a ticketed event for 21 and over. Tickets are $20/person or $30/couple. Advance tickets will be available at the DFA office, Richwood Graphics, Old Virginia Moulding and Millwork, Floor To Ceiling, Franklin Art & Frameworks, and the Franklin/Southampton Chamber office. Tickets are limited, so hurry and reserve your dinner and chance to be rewarded by the King.
