Maj. Gene Drewery of the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office has just reported a single tractor trailer hauling logs has overturned. The accident on Ivor Road (Hwy 616) is blocked between Doles Road and New Road.

The log truck has lost its load and the road will be closed indefinitely until debris from the accident is cleared. The cause of the accident is being investigated at this time.

The injuries to the driver are minor at best.
