Irving E. Musselman Jr.

SUFFOLK—Irving Ellis Musselman Jr., 71, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Mr. Musselman was a native of Radford and a longtime resident of the Holland community.

He was predeceased by his father Irving Ellis Musselman Sr., and a sister, Charlotte M. Blankenship.

Irving was a member of Holland Baptist Church, where he served on the board of Deacons, church moderator, was a Sunday School teacher and served on many other committees. He was also a member of the Holland Ruritan Club and the Holland Cemetery Board.

He was a retired quality control supervisor for the International Paper Particle Board Plant after 32 years of service, and had been a former employee of National Linen Service for eight years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Nancy Thomas Musselman; his mother, Virgie Moore Musselman of Radford; a daughter, Hope M. Greene and her husband, Steve, of Franklin; two sons, David Thomas Musselman and his wife, Brenda, of Fredericksburg, and Joseph Allen Musselman and his wife, Kelly, of Sunbeam; two sisters, Jackie M. Armbrister of Bristol, Tennessee. and Bonnie M. Stone of Radford; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Pastor Robert W. Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery.
