Eugenia ‘Jean’ Blythe Outland

CARRSVILLE—Eugenia “Jean” Blythe Outland, 70, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Jan. 27, 2015, as she was resting in her home on Outland Drive.

She was the widow of Carlton R. Outland Jr. of Carrsville, Virginia.

Jean was a native of Carrsville, and was the daughter of the late D.C. Blythe Sr. and Marie Johnson Blythe, and was predeceased by her nephew, Matthew Abbot Blythe.

She was a member of Colosse Baptist Church in Isle of Wight County and a graduate of Windsor High School. Jean married the love of her life and became the epitome of a true farm wife.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children and families: daughter, Teresa Carol Outland Daniel (Keith) of Wilson, North Carolina; son, Carlton Kevin Outland (Tara Williams Moore); and daughter, Tara Outland Williams (Alan) of Carrsville; grandchildren, Lyndsay Outland Duke (Trevor), Taylor Outland, Hunter Williams and Chase Williams of Carrsville, and Kaitlyn Daniel of Wilson. She was a special sister to her brothers, David C. Blythe Jr. (Phyllis) of Franklin, Michael L. Blythe (Bonnie) of Smithfield, and Bruce T. Blythe (Renee) of Courtland. Jean is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joyce Outland Bradt (Rodney) of Waynesboro, and former daughter-in-law, Donna Perry Outland of Carrsville.

The funeral will be at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin, on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m., with visitation

preceding the service at 1 p.m., and at other times at the residence, 30273 Outland Drive, Carrsville. Burial will be held at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Webb will be presiding.
